On February 27, in conjunction with the "Microsoft 2008 Heros Happen Here" event, rational eyes services launched TeamDevCentral.

“TeamDevCentral is an exciting solution that brings all the benefits of Visual Studio Team Foundation Server to development teams of all sizes. The hosted solution and guidance offered by rational eyes services makes it easy and accessible to get started right away,” stated Rini Gahir, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft.

“The response to our TDC product launch was overwhelming! I believe that our SaaS offering for Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server will be very popular with all types and sizes of businesses,” said Carl Visentin rational eyes services President.

“I spoke with many developers and managers from different organizations about TDC. There was a real excitement at the 2008 HHH event about our product. People see the value in our service because it brings all team members together, no matter where they are working. It also makes it very easy to try TFS out since all you need is a URL to connect via SSL to our TDC environment,” declared Adam Di Carlo, VP Strategic Development.

2008 Project World

Since the launch for TeamDevCentral at the MS 2008 Launch Wave, we have been busy promoting the service to various groups who would benefit from the use of TFS through the SaaS model. Project Managers in the Application Development space are a great target market for TeamDevCentral. On April 16 and 17, we participated in Project World in Toronto where we had an enthusiastic reception from the over 1500 Project Management participants at the conference.

Adam Di Carlo said "Individual projects can make use of the TeamDevCentral service. By choosing one project and leveraging TDC, organizations get a feel for benefits such as centralized reporting and having all work products that are linked to tasks in one place. These benefits can spread out across the development project portfolio by adding them one at a time to TDC."
